Taiz is now one of the targeted governorates for assistance provided by the Society for Humanitarian Solidarity (SHS)

With the support and fund from the World Food Program (WFP), SHS distributes monthly food basket to the vulnerable and poor families in the governorates of Al-Dhale’a, Shabwa, Hajjah, Ibb and Taiz. the total beneficiaries is 11,223 HHs in the targeted governorates. The food basket consist of; a bag of flour, Pulses, V. Oil, and dates.

Taiz governorate was recently added to the targeted governorates of food aid provided monthly by the Society for Humanitarian Solidarity in recognition of the difficult situation that Taiz suffers from the effects brought by the war. In the context of the continuing efforts of the Society and its constant aim to expand the scope of its humanitarian activity in reaching the largest number of vulnerable POC in need in Yemen, according to the possibilities available to them.
