SHS Conducted CMAM Training Course

SHS launched CMAM Training course as part of the essential activities of supplementary Nutrition project in Shabwa Governorate.1Under the auspicious of Ministry of Public Health, support of World Food Programme and partnering implementation of SHS six main courses of CMAM were conducted
The training courses enlightened the meaning and significance of CMAM and its treatment, noting the high percentage of children, pregnant and lactating mothers affected especially due to the circumstances of the long war/conflict
The programme targeted total of 64 health workers in Shabwa (Ataq, Habban, Dahyr, Taleh and Hateeb) to enhance their capacities of delivering an integrated health service.

The course covered and deliberated broadly the difficulties the participants face in the field in delivering health services to children, pregnant and lactating women and how to overcome them.
During the opening ceremony, Mr. Nasser Hussien Albasy –Health & Nutrition Office Manager- has thanked SHS for its great effort on Shabwa and the good results on improving the health level and building capacity.
