SHS – WFP Cash distribution to vulnerable people in Shabwa Governorate

The Society for Humanitarian Solidarity (SHS) with the support of the World Food Programme (WFP) initiated the implementation of the SCOPE program through cash support for targeted families.
The SCOPE project was launched in Ataq, Shabwa Governorate through the AlKuraimi Exchange Company as the distribution & collection depot. Total of 3,580 registered families benefitted from the project. The SCOPE cash transfer modalities uses to register targeted beneficiaries with biometrics to ensuring that the assistance is provided to the right person.Cash assistance is determined by the number of family members at a rate of YR6450 per person.The distribution was in Ataq and Usaylan districts while in Beyhan and other districts the registration of beneficiaries is ongoing.
