Emergency Response to Flood and Rain Damage


The Society for Humanitarian Solidarity (SHS) emergency team responded to the disaster caused by floods and heavy rains in Aden Governorate.
The team carried out a field assessment to determine the damage caused by the floods in IDP camps distributed in four districts are (Breqa, Dar Saad, Sheikh Othman, Mulla)

Immediately after the disaster, the team activated an emergency response program to monitor developments and gather information needed for the response, as well as communicate with partners to organize assistance and start the response by identifying the basic needs of those affected by the floods and rain in Aden.And with a specific period of time, they targeted 609 families in the IDP camps by distributing the dignity kits with the support of UNFPA to meet their basic humanitarian needs.
