Humanitarian Solidarity Distributes Emergency Supplies to The Displaced in Marib

Funded by the High Commissioner for Refugees and in coordination with the Executive Unit in Marib Governorate, the Society for Humanitarian Solidarity yesterday launched the distribution of emergency supplies to 122 families of displaced persons affected by the torrents and rains that the Marib governorate suffered during the past days, in the presence of the Mr. Saif Muthanna, Director of the Executive Unit in Marib and Eng. Malik Muhammad Al-Kamil and Mr. Abdul-Hadi Toaiman, representatives of the Society for Humanitarian Solidarity in Marib Governorate.
During the inauguration ceremony, the representative of Humanitarian Solidarity affirmed the Association’s keenness to provide relief to those affected by the displaced families as a result of the high-water level of the Ma’rib Dam, the storms and the rainy winds that the governorate was exposed to.
He pointed out that the materials provided to beneficiaries consist of mattresses, blankets, kitchen tools, mats for my father’s water, a solar energy lamp.
He called for raising a list of the affected family at the level of the governorate in need of shelter, containing all the data about them, in order to coordinate with our partners, to put in place appropriate and sufficient mechanisms for not duplicating the exchange to ensure that all affected families are targeted and in need of assistance.
Referring to the results of the monthly coordination meeting of the sub-cluster in the governorate, held on Monday 10/8/2020 AD, on the challenges and interventions related to the management and coordination of camps, shelters and non-food items, during which they were informed of the number of families and camps that have been targeted, as well as who will be targeted during the next two days.
For his part, the Director of the Executive Unit in Marib Governorate thanked and appreciated the Society for Humanitarian Solidarity for its distinguished presence in these exceptional circumstances in which Marib is living, with the aid it provided for the relief and shelter of displaced families affected by the disastrous effects of the rains and floods and the resulting damage to the infrastructure of the governorate. Appreciating the distinguished role of the association in the various humanitarian work that it has presented and presented to the governorate, which will be cherished and appreciated by the people of Marib for this pioneering humanitarian organization in humanitarian work.
