Start of The Tetanus Immunization Activity in Socotra

SHS started the integrated communicated activity in immunization against tetanus within the activities of the basic emergency in obstetric and neonatal care project in Nawajd and Qalansia in Socotra governorate, under the supervision of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education, with the support of the UNFPA and the KSRelief center
During this activity, girls between 15 and 49 years old were targeted by midwives by visiting to the middle school students and conducting awareness sessions for students and school staff to explain the importance of taking tetanus doses, and they were given vaccination cards in order to continue the process of taking the doses in a manner. Regular and continuous To importance and impact on their current and future lives, this activity is considered as a regular activities of midwives in the project, through which field visit to home are carried out, pregnant and lactating women are vaccinated periodically and regularly and provide reproductive health services.
